Desktop Publishing

This module can be taken as part of 1 course:
Graphic Design

This course is intended to enable the student to produce various printed documents containing texts and graphics, from design briefing to printing, using desktop publishing computer software. Students design publications, such as newsletters, brochures etc., and draw up a publication plan and schedule representing all the stages of the publication process. They also learn the legal implications involved in the publishing process, e.g. copyright and licensing and identify the cost factors associated with a publication.

It is an ideal subject for a student who might like to work in the printing/publishing area.
